This Privacy Policy explains how Keppek Labs Inc ("Company," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, protects, and discloses information and data when you use the PrepGen.ai website, services, and applications (collectively, the "Service"). PrepGen.ai is a product of Keppek Labs Inc.
By using our Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
Account Information: When you register for a PrepGen.ai account, we collect personal information such as your first and last name, email address, and password.
Payment Information: When you purchase a Premium Plan, payment is handled by a payment processor chosen by your region and the platform you buy from: Stripe, Razorpay, or Apple In-App Purchase. We do not collect or store your full credit or debit card details. Stripe and Razorpay process payment data on our behalf under their own privacy policies (Stripe Privacy Policy, Razorpay Privacy Policy). Purchases made through the Apple App Store are billed by Apple under Apple's Privacy Policy; Apple does not share your payment details with us. We receive a record of the transaction, such as the plan purchased, transaction identifiers, purchase and expiry dates, and renewal status, so that we can grant and maintain your access.
Communications: If you contact us directly for support or feedback, we may receive additional information such as your name, email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments you provide.
Educational Information: You may share your exam targets, goals, or study preferences to help us personalize your experience.
Usage Data: Information about how you interact with our Service (features used, questions attempted, results, timestamps, etc.).
Device and Log Information: IP address, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, and referring web pages.
Push Notification Data: If you use our mobile apps, we store a push notification token issued by Apple or Google for each device you sign in on, together with an app-generated installation identifier, the device platform, app version, time zone, language setting, and whether you have allowed notifications. We use this only to deliver the notifications you have allowed and to respect your quiet hours. We also keep a record of each notification we send you and whether it was opened, which is deleted automatically after 90 days. A device's token is removed when you sign out of the app on that device or when Apple or Google reports that it is no longer valid.
Analytics and Crash Reports: Our apps use Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics to understand which features are used and to diagnose crashes. These reports include device and app information and the events and screens used in the app.
Cookies and Tracking Technologies: We use cookies and similar technologies to improve your experience, remember preferences, and analyze usage.
We use collected data to:
Provide and maintain the Service, including processing your purchases and renewals through our payment processors.
Personalize your experience with adaptive tests and study plans.
Improve our Service and AI models through aggregated usage data.
Communicate with you about service updates, billing, and support.
Send the push notifications you have allowed, such as study plan reminders, streak reminders, and results you have achieved. We do not send promotional push notifications.
Detect, prevent, and investigate fraud or unauthorized transactions (in coordination with our payment processors).
Comply with legal and regulatory obligations.
We may share information in the following circumstances:
Payment Processing: We share necessary payment and billing details with Stripe or Razorpay to complete your transactions and manage renewals. For App Store purchases, we exchange transaction information with Apple to verify purchases and keep your subscription status current. These processors may handle your data outside your home country under their own legal and privacy frameworks.
Service Providers: We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud to host the Service, store data, authenticate accounts, collect app analytics and crash reports, and send push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging. Notifications to Apple devices are delivered through the Apple Push Notification service. These providers process data on our behalf to run the Service.
Legal Requirements: When required by law, regulation, or valid legal request.
Business Transfers: In case of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale.
Aggregated/Anonymized Data: Shared for research or analytics, without identifying you personally.
We do not sell or rent your personal information to third parties for marketing.
We take data protection seriously and use encryption, secure storage, and restricted access to safeguard your information. For payment data, we rely on our payment processors' industry-standard security practices (PCI-DSS compliance, tokenization, and encryption).
No system is fully secure, but we and our processors implement commercially reasonable safeguards to protect your data.
Access & Update: Review or update your account details in your settings.
Account Deletion: Delete your account from Settings in the app, through our account deletion page, or by emailing info@keppek.ai. Deleting your account does not cancel an App Store subscription; cancel it in your Apple account settings to stop future charges. Certain transactional records may be retained as required by law.
Push Notifications: Notifications are optional. You can turn them off, or turn off individual kinds such as study reminders or celebrations, in the app under Settings › Notifications, or turn them off entirely in your device settings.
Marketing Opt-Out: Unsubscribe from promotional emails anytime, while continuing to receive essential communications (like billing or service notices).
Our Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you are between 13 and 18, you represent that you have obtained permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.
Our Service may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their privacy practices or content.
We may update this policy from time to time. Updates will be posted here with a revised "Last Updated" date, and material changes will be communicated more directly.
